Horse Sale - New for 2024: In-person and online sale.


****Providing both buyers and sellers the opportunity to view horses in person the day prior and morning of sale. Horses will be advertised to public when they are consigned. Horses will be sold through WLS auction ring and both in person and online bidding will be available. DLMS will be provided for all online bidders.*****


To consign horses, please fill out one seller form per horse, please email completed forms to office@whitewoodlivestock.ca. Consigned horses will be posted online as soon as they are consigned. Any pictures and videos will be posted publicly via website and Facebook.

WLS FEES:

Commission - 5%
Brands – $2.75
Entry Fee – $25.00. 
Feed - $5/day
Insurance - $1.00
DLMS - $50


Pass out Fee: $75.00 plus brands/insurance/feed

In-Person Bidding Terms
All bidders must register before the sale (Photo ID is required)


Methods of payments are  Cheque, Etransfer (office@whitewoodlivestock.ca), Cash, Debit or Credit Card (3% office processing fee will be added to all purchases on Visa or MasterCard)


The buyer has a responsibility to examine a horse carefully before they bid on it. If you have any questions, please contact the horse's consignor. 


The Sale management, auctioneers and employees act as agents for seller, but assume no liability for either buyer or seller.


All responsibility and guarantees are between the buyer and seller


Buyers assume all expenses and risk on horses after they have been sold.


The highest bidder will be the buyer, and if any dispute arises between two or more bidders, the horse in dispute shall immediately be put up again for advance


Buyers and spectators are cautioned to be careful while on the grounds and particularly while horses are being shown in the ring. The management and auctioneer


Registration papers and EID Forms will be given to the buyer as soon as the cheques have cleared.


Only horses consigned to the sale will be allowed on the sale grounds. All horses sold will be subject to WLS sale fees.


All horses must go through the sale ring absolutely no alley trading.


The accuracy of all information of the advertisements is the sole responsibility of the consigner.


The proper brand inspection paperwork shall be completed before horses are removed from the sale site.


Any person registering shall be responsible and liable for his bidding card.

 
Online Bidding Terms
Method of payment is cash, cheque, etransfer or credit card only (Master Card and/ or Visa) and a 3% buyer fee for credit card purchases.

The highest bidder of the horse will be the buyer if the reserve has been met or exceeded.


If you are bidding on a horse it is expected the bid is made in good faith and you the bidder/buyer assume all responsibility for bidding on the horse; including full payment.


Purchased horses will not change hands until animal has been paid for in full to Whitewood Livestock Sales.


The correct manifest must be completed with correct information, via brand or no brand, upon pick up of horse.


All horses sold will be subject to a 5% sales commission in addition to selling fees (brands, Insurance, ect.)- The consignor will have the privilege to no sale or pass on his or her horse. If the horse is passed out, the cost to the consignor will be the $75 pass out fee.

The accuracy and information of the catalogue pages is the sole responsibility of the consignor.

– MUST BE FILLED OUT IN BLUEPEN

– ORIGINAL COPY MUST ACCOMPANY HORSE TO SLAUGHTER FACILITY (PHOTOCOPIES OF THE EID WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED)

ONLY THE HORSE OWNER MAY SIGN THE OWNER DECLARATION

– IF A HORSE IS BRANDED WITH A BRAND NOT REGISTERED TO THE LISTED OWNER, A BILL OF SALE MUST ACCOMPANY THE EID FORM

– MISTAKES MUST BE INITIALED

DO NOT FILL OUT ‘TRANSIENT AGENT DECLARATION’ SECTION

FALSIFICATION OF AN EID MAY RESULT IN MONETARY FINES, RESTRICTIONS ON BRINGING IN FUTURE HORSES AND INDIVIDUALS BEING COMPLETELY BANNED FROM THE FACILITY. RANDOM BLOOD/TISSUE SAMPLES ARE TAKEN INTERNALLY AND BY THE CANADIAN FOOD INSPECTION AGENCY (CFIA) ON A DAILY BASIS. POSITIVE RESULTS ARE CONFIRMED WITH A THIRD-PARTY LAB. THE HORSE OWNER IS NOTIFIED OF THE POSITIVE TEST AND CFIA WILL DO A FULL INVESTIGATION.

EACH HORSE MUST HAVE WLS SELLER FORMS AND PROPER 2022 E.I.D. FORM ACCOMPANYING THEM AT TIME OF DELIVERY
